At Lune de Miel®, our approach is based on the simplest of feelings: the love of mother nature.
A genuine love for what she gives us, for the bees, and for the little
everyday things that really matter. We have always believed that good honey is the result of careful attention to detail and choices made from the heart.
Nature and bees are central to the balance of biodiversity. Without bees, there would
be no flowers. Without flowers, there would be no honey. This perfect balance helps
entire ecosystems to thrive.
We tune in to nature, and in particular to the bees.
Because when we look after them, we help to preserve the balance of nature, and to
pass on a more flourishing planet to future generations.
Our aim is simple: to offer delicious honeys to suit every individual’s every need.
Honeys come in all sorts of flavours, so we set out to find honeys made from
different flowers and with a range of characteristics. As the seasons and harvests
come and go, we travel to the places where honeys are made, seeking out which
high-quality honeys are available, so that everyone – from committed honey fans to
those trying it for the first time – can find the perfect honey for them.
Since 2014, the Lune de Miel® Foundation has been supporting projects in France
that protect and promote bees, biodiversity, and beekeeping, having supported over
145 projects and invested more than €1 million. We also want to embed our
environmental commitments into the way we make our products, so we take great
care in choosing the packaging we use.
Our passion is providing you with high-quality honey. Every Lune de Miel® honey is thoroughly tested by a specialist laboratory to ensure:
Because choosing the right honey is also a way of looking after those we love.
High-quality honeys that are always a treat
We source honeys that you can trust. We monitor our delicious honeys carefully to
ensure their quality, because making the right choice is also a way of looking after
those we love.
The Lune de Miel® Foundation supports projects in France dedicated to protecting bees and preserving biodiversity. Its work is based on three key pillars: bee health, the preservation of biodiversity, and the impact of climate change on the beekeeping sector.
In this context, the Lune de Miel® Foundation supports the Oligobee project. This programme aims to gather new data on the levels of metals and trace elements found in bees and pollen. The aim is to identify the key factors affecting bee health, as well as any potential deficiencies, in order to gain a better understanding of the factors that may influence colony vitality.
As well as supporting research, the Lune de Miel® Foundation takes practical action on the ground. Through initiatives such as the Cultivons Mellifères programme, it encourages the planting of honey-producing flowers to feed the bees and demonstrates how farmers and beekeepers can work together to promote biodiversity.
“This foundation is, above all, made up of committed men and women who work
hand in hand for the common good.”
Marie Michaud, Chair of the Foundation
Because everyday small actions add up, we take great care in choosing our
packaging.
Our bottles and glass jars are designed to minimise their environmental impact, and are made from at least 25% recycled materials. They are also fully recyclable.
In addition, using transparent labels with washable adhesive that facilitates the recycling process improves the recyclability of some of our packaging. We want to do our bit for the environment, and make it easier for you to do yours.
Practical and good
for the environment!
